This is my experience of Equally Shared Parenting (which my husband and I practice). It really is that simple - He wants both (ample kid-time and career)so I want him to have both and I want BOTH, too. From there, it's just a question of "What is the best way we can *both* have lots of both?" 50/50 feels like the best way to maximize our life experience, for ourselves and each other.
