Teens and Guns
In the fall of 1987, a very good male friend of mine was robbed, shot and killed by two teen-aged boys and left along the railroad track. At the time he was 34 years, a very pleasant young man who was the father to three children. The news of his killing was so devastating to the rest of my co-workers who worked along side him that we spent over two hours reminiscing about our times together in a three-way telephone conversation. Later these guys were found and arrested for this crime against such a nice guy. Nearly three decades later, the violence continues to progress in which many of the killings are committed by teen-aged boy with illegal guns in their possession. Yes, something needs to be done about illegal guns being accessed by young people.
