A place for guns

As I enjoy many of the parks and family friendly places in the Raleigh area, I absolutely do not want to see guns in any of these places. Imagining pushing my son on a swing and looking over to see someone with a gun who is not a police officer is a very discomforting image. I am certain that we would immediately leave if we were to see that.

One of the great things about the Triangle is our many family friendly parks and activities we offer. I want my family to be able to enjoy them, not look around and have a sick feeling because someone is carrying a gun. I also do not want someone to have a gun in their bags on a playground because children are curious and sometimes walk over to look in other peoples' bags. They don't know that bag isn't "theirs."

The fun play dates I want my son to have don't include guns, and places that allow them will not be on our list of places to frequent.
