Paid Sick Days in Philadelphia
Sadly, nearly half of Philadelphia workers do not have access to a single paid sick day. Now's your chance to change that statistic--get involved with the movement to bring paid sick days to Philadelphia today!About Paid Sick Days in Philadelphia
You may not have heard yet, but in Philadelphia you have a chance, right now, to pass groundbreaking city-wide legislation that would allow working people to earn paid sick days so they can stay home and care for themselves and loved ones when something like the flu strikes. With flu season upon us, what better time to improve public health by helping workers take time off when they are sick...and contagious!
Experts from the Institute for Women's Policy Research found that without a paid sick days law, nearly half of working people can't earn a single paid sick day. Their research shows that providing paid sick days not only helps children and families; it increases worker health, productivity, and retention.
