Healthcare resources in California

Lots of MomsRising members are struggling to get or maintain healthcare coverage for their families. Here are some great resources in California that can help you and your family figure out which public programs you qualify for and how to apply.

A great first stop is WE Connect. You can use their handy WEb Connector tool to find out if your family is eligible for any public programs, like the California Child and Dependent Care Expenses Credit, low cost gas and electric (CARE Program), or free and low cost health insurance programs (like Medi-Cal and Healthy Families).

You also might want to check out One-e-App, where you can enter your zip code and get connected to actual people in your area who can help you enroll in these programs.

Finally, if you think you qualify for free Medi-Cal or low cost Healthy Families, you can go directly to their websites to get more information and download an application.
