California: Healthcare for All Kids

  • 763,000 children in California do not have health insurance.
The numbers are clear – kids suffer when they're not covered.
  • Healthy children do better in school.
Children newly covered under public programs had a 63% improvement
keeping up with school activities, compared to when they were uninsured.
  • Children with health insurance are healthier.
And are at less risk of suffering from preventable illnesses.
  • Less than 10% of California children remain uninsured.
Finishing the job is achievable and there is public support for it.
