My friends at Loudoun Nursing and Rehah Center (LNRC))
I have a number of friends I have visited at LNRC in Leesburg, Va. for more than ten years. Essentially all of these people are indigent and dependent on Medicaid to pay all of their nursing and medical bills. Without such support, I don't believe any of them would be alive today. The most notable of the group is a quadriplegic friend who has lived more than 20 years with this condition. He has a reasonably satisfying life style and with the aid of scientific advances can do many things for himself with his motorized wheel chair and voice activated electronic system. No one could provide him the care he requires without medical coverage.
