As a sole proprietor I ca...

As a sole proprietor I cannot be sick OR I lose income. Paid sick days are not a part of the self-employed person's vocabulary. WE need to charge more for our product or service so that we may be able to "ride out" an illness or injury. But that is what most large businesses do... part of the benefit package; provide it... provide it. Loyalty of employees is wonderful; so is loyalty of employer! But I shall remain self-employed since I do have more control of how to use my income.... Insurance does not cover short term illness; so I work sometimes when not really well.
