ADHD college student
I have an eighteen year old son who takes medication for ADHD. Under the previous health insurance, he had to be in college full-time for me to continue him on my insurance. With ADHD, he would have trouble carring 12 hours. His medications cost without insurance is almost $1,000 a month. With the health care reform he remains on my insurance until he is 26. I no longer have to worry if we can afford his medications. He begins college this fall with 6 hours.
