Medicaid not a hand out but a hand up.

I have a grand son 25 years old that is mentally challenged and unable to work. He was diagnosis with multiple mental illnesses before his 16th birthday. Without medicaid he would not be able to get the medications necessary for him to stay out of an institution that would cost tax payers more than it's costing now. He lives on his own now but only because of help provided through medicaid payments that pay his medical expenses, counseling expenses, mental health expenses and other related costs.

Remember medicaid also supplements elderly individuals that do not qualify for medicare because they only receive SSI.

Do not hurt or harm the disabled and elderly, it is society's responsibility to take care of these persons.
