Life of a teacher

I have worked for 34 years as a teacher. I am 60 now and look forward to retiring when I am 65,

I am a middle class American who has worked most of my life serving children in their pursuit to learn and parents in their pursuit to educate their child.

I am about to enter the world of Sccial Security as my base income. I did not make enough money in this service field to be taken care of in my retirement years as I worked for an independent school, not a public school.

I don't need any additional taxes as I well just be able to make my budget without any additonal expenses. I won't have insurance so I will need to pay for that, which is an exorbitant fee.

Please take a load off of our middle class, most of whom belong in the service fields. What would this nation do without those of us who are called to teach, nurse, counsel, take care of social needs? We are the middle class and we have worked most of our lives. We do not need to be burdened by additional taxes.

Most wealthy business people don't have to worry about health care or retirement income, because they made enough in their choice of careers to put enough or more than needed in their retirement pot or they were able to hire people to manage their income. We in the middle class cannot afftord those luxuries. We have taken care of your children, adults and all those with service needs all of our lives and worked hard with great passion and much overime Now please see how much we need you to watch out or us.

Sincerely,

Lucile R. Watts
