I lost it all to bankruptcy

I was wealthy for a great deal of the time while raising my children, and was able to give them the best of everything. I know what it is like to be blessed with financial security, but felt it was my duty to help the less fortunate. I even bought my servants (in S.E. Asia) a house.

But due to a failed business, we had to file bankruptcy and today have a hard time making ends meet.

I think it is selfish of the very wealthy to insist on a tax break to help stabalize our country, when doing so would not change their life style at all. I've been there and know that! Knowing that the rich mostly capital gains only means they carry even less of a burden!

My husband, now 72 is dying of cancer, and we depend on Medicare to prolong his life and keep him out of pain.

We are too old to work and depend on less than $1,500. month to keep the roof over our head and stomachs full!

When he dies, I have no idea how I will survive. Keep in mind we have paid an enormous amount of taxes, including S.S. taxes, during our life time.
