I actually think pumping in my car would be nice… I certainly breastfeed there an awful lot!
Why did you tolerate your boss mooing at you?
That is disgusting. His behavior, I mean. Did he harass everyone, or just those who breastfed? Rrrrr. Punk.

Knowing how much I enjoy breastfeeding my 7 month old, it makes me sick that it is so hard for most moms to achieve this because they have to go back to work. I’ll go back at 10 months, where I’ll pump, and woe to whoever gets in my way.

That Atlantic article really was outrageous, insinuating that breastfeeding was “keeping us down” as women. My niece (awesome young breastfeeding mama) whipped up this visual response:

I’m proud that I was able to help my company develop a program that employers can buy that would encourage women who want to breastfeed and work. Breastfeeding while working is so important but is such a challenge. Hopefully, every little bit of teamwork and activism will help.

My dream is that my daughter will not have the same challenges and given a high-five for feeding her babies.

I could not agree more! I wrote a post expressing the same views recently. We need to work support laws that help make breastfeeding easier and more socially acceptable for new moms. We also need to support moms that choose not to breastfeed as well. It’s a choice each mom should be able to make for herself without being judged.
