This article elucidates the daily struggles that I face - after giving up my "paying" job for a job as a stay-at-home mom, I have struggled with my place in society and bon-bon perception that is forced upon me. Thank you for putting it into concise words that ring true.

I think this article makes an excellent point. I'll accept rankism as the word to describe the discrimination mothers face. Instinctively mothers know that the role we perform as nurturer is invaluable. We should believe this with confidence. Yet the implicit message we receive from society is that because there is no money value attached to nurturing, it's not worth much. I agree that we need to fight for dignity and respect.

This is very well-written. I just wanted to say thank you. As a mom who is working to balance family and career and (gasp!) maybe even myself I'm coming face to face with the way mothers are undervalued in society. I agree, dignity is the answer.
