Today MOMentum is in full force in the New Hampshire statewide paper - the Union Leader - where our MomsVote ad is running, thanks to the creativity, brains, and support of the amazing MomsRising community!

This ad came from you! Our ad highlights the top policy areas that you voted in as priorities; it features the winning headline you voted on; and last, but not least, moms and dads across the nation like you pitched in to pay for the ad to run.  THANK YOU!

What was our goal with this ad? All eyes are on New Hampshire right now because it will be the first state in the nation to hold a 2016 primary election for President. In fact, the New Hampshire primary is just around the corner in February. As moms, dads, and MomsRising volunteers, we are extremely concerned about the tenor of the Presidential election so far. Tragically, some candidates are inflaming hate and discrimination in our nation, including against Muslims, against women, against community leaders who organize for justice and an end to police brutality, and against immigrants and refugees.

At the same time, many of those very same Presidential candidates are ignoring the top priority issues that real people in our nation face each day—like the fact that childcare costs more than college, that women still don’t get equal pay for equal work, that we are in serious need for police reform, and that the U.S. is the only industrialized nation in the world without some form of paid family leave. There are policy solutions to these issues that lift our families and our economy that need to move forward ... yesterday.

So, with your help, we’re stepping up and putting our message front and center (literally) for all the candidates to see.

And we aren’t doing it alone! First, we reached out to you and asked what you wanted to say to the Presidential candidates, and your message came through loud and clear: It’s time for ALL candidates for President to stop inflaming hate and share where they stand on the real issues that impact us each day. So now we’re sending them a positive message for change. Your headline choice for the ad was - Let’s Rise Together: We Need Policies That Lift Our Families, Businesses & Our Economy.

Thank you to the more than 24,000 of you (and growing!) that signed on to our letter which was featured in the ad. (You can still sign onto the open letter to candidates here because we will be delivering it in additional states: http://action.momsrising.org/sign/calling-all-presidential-candidates)  Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote, and thank you also to those who chipped in to help us place this ad.

Together we will get ALL the candidates talking about the real issues that impact us each day!  Together we are a powerful force! Thanks for ALL you do!
