This is your change to have your voice heard on the need to protect and strengthen the federal EITC and Child Tax Credit. Michigan’s state-level EITC is already at risk of being eliminated in order to pay for road construction. While we are supporting efforts to fight the state-level elimination of the EITC, we are also trying to build support to strengthen and protect the federal EITC and Child Tax Credit.  Unless the U.S. Congress acts soon, key provisions of the EITC and Child Tax Credit will expire, pushing nearly 16 million people—including 8 million children and many military families—into poverty and making it harder for tens of millions more families to pay their bills.
