MomsRising has over a million members nationwide, and over 40,000 in North Carolina!

While it's great (and powerful!) to come together online, sometimes you just want to have the chance to get to know each other in person and talk about the issues affecting families in your own community.

That's why we are so excited to be hosting a MomsMeetup on October 8th to talk about food justice issues in Durham, North Carolina, and beyond! Can you join us?

Here are the details:
  • What: MomsRising MeetUp (There will be food, of course!)
  • When: Saturday, October 8th from 3:30pm-5:30pm
  • Where: SEEDS, 706 Gilbert St, Durham, NC 27701
  • Who: A small group of MomsRising members (that’s you!) will be gathering to discuss food justice issues in Durham, North Carolina, and beyond! We’ll have special guest speakers Monifa Bandele who is the Senior Campaign Director from MomsRising's Food Justice Campaign and Rochelle Sparko who is Policy Director for the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association. As with everything MomsRising does, you don't have to be a mom to attend and kids are always welcome. (We'll have crafts to keep them busy and happy!)

**We are doing a supplies drive for SEEDS, so please bring craft supplies for art projects for elementary-aged kids if you are able to contribute (colored pencils, construction paper, etc.)**

Can you join us on Saturday, October 8th for our MomsRising Durham Meetup? It will be a great opportunity to get to know one another and talk about food justice issues in your community and beyond.
