For many in the United States a supermarket is a luxury.  Small retail food stores, and bodegas, are their only option for purchasing foods and beverages. Helping identify basic, minimum stocking levels, as well as marketing strategies, that the stores can use to help with the sale of healthy foods could change the diets, and lives, of the families and individuals living in these food deserts.  Knowing this, Healthy Eating Research came together with a national panel of experts in food retail, nutrition, and obesity prevention to create their latest report titled, Minimum Stocking Levels and Marketing Strategies of Healthful Foods for Small Retail Food Stores.

Join #FoodFri on March 18, 2016 at 1pm, Eastern to chat with @MomsRising and @HEResearch about their latest report. They'll be offering recommendations that will not only bring healthy foods to the community, but also marketing strategies that small stores can use to increase sales.
