Recently, The Daily Mail released a list of the 100 Best Food Markets in America for 2015. Scrolling through the photos of the markets made me realize Farmer's Markets are as varied as the communities we live in. And, #ViewFromMyFarmersMarket was born!

Why #ViewFromMyFarmersMarket?

We created the hashtag #ViewFromMyFarmersMarket to showcase Farmer's Markets in our communities. The fruits and vegetables, the cooking classes, the services, the prices from around the nation and the people who make each Farmer's Market unique. From quenepas (Spanish lime) to watermelon, apples to mangos and kale to caluiflower, we want to see what your Farmer's Market offers.

According to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack:

Farmers markets provide consumers with fresh, affordable, convenient, and healthy products from local producers. With support from USDA, more farmers markets offer customers the opportunity to make purchases with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program; the Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program; and the Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Programs.

Join us as we celebrate Farmer's Markets from around the country, just add #ViewFromMyFarmersMarket to your social media shares on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Feel free to tag @MomsRising in your social media posts. We'll be sharing and featuring posts tagged with #ViewFromMyFarmersMarket during the month of August!
