		<description>Valerie, thanks so much for this great post!  I love thinking of Lillian Gilbreth as symbolic of America.  Or rather, of what America &lt;em&gt;could&lt;/em&gt; be.  Mrs. Gilbreth is certainly exceptional as an individual, but I bet there would be many many more like her if our overarching systems, policies, and practices were more sensible for American families.  How much more productive, innovative and prosperous as a nation would we be if we empowered everyone to rise to her potential like Lillian Gilbreth!</description>

		<description>Thanks for this article and for your extensive, occasionally mind numbing research. This truly paints a clear picture of the prevailing gender disparity! I wish I had as clear a picture for Canada&#039;s gender equality failings but I suspect they are similar to the US from what I&#039;ve seen and experienced.
