@Jess,

I work for a tri-institutional organization that is extremely strict with call-outs. Here too, if you need to take more than 3 days off (say for the flu), they push you to apply for FMLA, because you will get written up... doctor's note or not. It is not just Walmart. Walmart is just big enough for people to notice and complain about. My husband works for Walmart, and so far they have been very good about letting him leave in a rush because our son is sick, or I am stuck at work and cannot pick him up.
Walmart employs an insane amount of people. If this company goes, the economy is toast... even moreso

I am very disappointed that the Komen Foundation made that decision. Hundreds of thousands of women get breast cancer screening through Planned Parenthood–and that shouldn't stop because of where people stand regarding the pro-choice/pro-life issues.
Stop playing your political games and help the poor women.

Of course Komen's decision is politically motivated. Karen Handel ran for Governor of Georgia and a large part of her platform involved promises of taking down Planned Parenthood, which is exactly what she did at the helm of the Komen Foundation. Unfortunately, it's like cutting off your nose to spite your own face. PP offers free breast cancer screenings, which should be in line with the philosophy of the Komen Foundation. It's not the pink ribbon t-shirts, plastic bottles, or pink plastic crap that saves women from breast cancer. It's early screenings that organizations such as Planned Parenthood provide. Sadly, Komen seems to have strayed from their mission due to politically motivated and self destructive actions.

Cleaning the carpet in your residence can be a cumbersome job and could consider some time to get done. There are a good deal of items that require to be done, like relocating the furniture, finding the right cleaning answer, and many others. It would be best to timetable it on dates when you have a long weekend or for the duration of spring cleaning, as lengthy as the moments function for you. Proper arranging also enables you to be a lot more productive in cleaning. You can take help form carpet cleaning Carlsbad.
thanks

I am mortified that the Susan G Komen Foundation, an organization I have proudly supported in the past, has decided to play politics with women's health. Planned Parenthood provides very important health care services (with abortion being a minor one) for low income women all over the country who don't have other access to health care. None of the Komen money was used to perform abortions, but because of their actions, there are women out there who will not receive the care they need to detect cancer early. I guess their lives don't count for pro-life folks?

Bye bye race for the cure and pink crapola that I used to purchase. I've actually never given any money to Planned Parenthood in the past, but my husband and I will be making a donation tomorrow.
