Last Saturday in Toronto, the Motherhood Movement was officially launched. Camera in hand, juggling cables and questions, I shot 30 hours of video, from the hip, as I tried to get answers from some of the world's foremost feminists.

I’m one of those women who don’t really consider her ‘political’. In fact, that’s what I told Joan Blades and Kristin Rowe -Finkbeiner when we first met in Washington two years ago.
But, like so many other Americans worn down by the economy and urged on by my conscience, I had to choose; My future, or my apathy.

“You say you want a revolution?” is the theme of an international gathering in Toronto this month, where a grassroots movement to give voice and power to the mothers of the world is poised to come of age. The founder of the “rock ‘n roll” wing of the movement tells us what it’s all about.
