I did watch the debate --

I did watch the debate -- heaven help me.

How does it make a person qualified to have her refuse to answer questions that presumably were important enough to include, with the excuse that she wants to "Address the voters"? Who wrote the questions? My cell phone?

This bloodthirsty college-bouncing (six different schools? Much stability here?) vapid sportscaster is supposed to be one case of senile dementia, heart attack or cancer resurgance away from the presidency? I can think of more qualified Republican women without straining. I would be willing to consider voting for Olympia Snowe, for instance. However, the party's apparent belief that putting up a woman whose chief qualification is governing a state with very few people and thoroughly atypical economics will get us to vote Republican because we're women too? It's enough to make me want a sex change. Though I'll settle for an administrative one.

Biden has been pro-family,

Biden has been pro-family, pro-reproductive rights, pro-healthcare, and prochildcare from day 1. Palin has turned an independent voter to a full democratic ticket. I believe her not allowing sex education in schools in Alaska, then bringing her under-age pregnant drinking teen-age daughter on stage was totally hypocritical. Plus, I'm a carreer mother, yet if I had a baby with Down Syndrome, I would not think twice about my political career. I would be working constatntly with that child to ensure it reaches her full potention. Research shows just how critical early childhood interaction is with a down syndrome child. She takes womens issues 100 steps backwards.

Biden, Pro-Family?! Biden

Biden, Pro-Family?! Biden is NOT pro-family! Anyone who supports abortion on demand rights, homosexuality and birth control in schools is NOT pro-family! All of these things seek to undermine the family at its root. Abortion KILLS babies...everyone admits this today... all in the name of convenience or choice. How is THAT family-oriented? Or good for any family? The "right" to kill a brother or a sister is NOT pro-family. How is gay "marriage" pro-family? It is anti-family because no family exists. It is a sterile relationship and it hurts children... it hurts our country it hurts our world. Without children, there is no prosperity!

Aside from these family issues, both parties, Americans, are after the same thing. We all want to eliminate people being poor, we all want to be healthy and have a way to get health assistance when we need it, we all want our economy to thrive. We all mostly want the same things. But, the real difference is how we get there. One party wants the government to be involved and give us everything. We feel the government "owes" us or something. The other party wants the American to find a dream and pursue it and the right to life and happiness on his/her own, with the support of family and friends... without the government telling you that your dream is not possible or allowed for whatever reason Only one of these views is truly American. The other is socialistic which, as shown from history, ALWAYS leads to Communism.

We came from England and started this grand country to get away from the British telling us how to worship or how to live our lives. Now, in this most important election ever, we are forfeiting the rights guaranteed to us from our founding fathers. To vote for the man who promises MORE government control and assistance is to vote for an end to the great promise of freedom we were given more than 200 years ago. Please, vote wisely. Don't think special issues... these should be left to the state governments so we, as a populace, can have better control over them. It is not the job of the Federal Government to be involved in education, the arts, healthcare and the like. These issues, including abortion and contraception, are meant to be at the state level so we have the most amount of say in their interpretation and promulgation.

Vote for the man who wants LESS federal control of our lives so we can better live the American Dream! Higher taxes and "spreading the wealth" are not the American Way. Please, vote American on November 4th!

your definition of family

Wow, no tolerance here. Who do you think you are to limit the definition of family?

Gov Palin's belief in the word of Al Qa'eda leaders

Initially after the attacks on 11 Sep 2001 when we went into Afghanistan the U.S. military had Bin Laden and Al Qa'eda on the run. Now follow me here people ... Instead of finishing the job and giving some form of justice to the victems, families and friends of victims of that day George Bush (for whatever insidious reasons) sends the bulk of our fighting power into Iraq. He removed the pressure from the people who did attack us and allowed them to make fools of us by sending insurgents into Iraq to keep the battle raging there instead of on their home front in Afghanistan. Gov Palin says she'd believe the leader of Al Qa'eda when he says the central war on terror is in Iraq. What else is the man going to say, "No people you got it wrong, the central war is here in Afghanistan. Come and get us"?

Sarah did a great job. She

Sarah did a great job.
She is a working mother with more EXECUTIVE experience than Obama.
She is a very strong woman who was a mayor and is now the Gov. of Alaska. A man's man state. Her approval rating says a lot by the way.
You may not agree with the Republican party. Fair enough.

In the past I voted for Clinton and now I am voting for McCain.
I did the research on ACORN, AYERS, REV WRIGHT, BARNEY, FANNIE.
At the start I was going to vote for OBAMA but after doing the above research.
I just can't.

This is just a side note but why do women tear into other women. It's very ugly. I am a feminist however I am rather disgusted on how the media and several women's group treated Clinton and Palin.

I am a minority women and I saw a lot of things that really made me sad.

Look not every woman is for abortion. Not every woman is Democrat or Republican. Women like men have the right to vote. This whole Sarah Palin is anti-women etc... is really rather disgusting behavior. You may not agree with her politics which is fine. However where is it written to be a feminist that you need to be a woman and vote Democrat.

Many women be it democrat, republican, independent work inside and outside the house. Girl, we are all working women. ENOUGH with the hate.

Register to vote and do the research.

Take care and thanks for reading.

More on the Barracuda's comments and lies

Ms. Palin has several times cited a New York Times article published Saturday in raising Mr. Obama’s association with Mr. Ayers, but she has sidestepped its conclusion that the two men did not appear to be close and that Mr. Obama had never expressed sympathy for the radical views and actions of Mr. Ayers.

Sarah Barracuda's comments speak for themselves

Palin, however, stayed on the attack Sunday, defending her claim that Obama "pals around with terrorists."

"The comments are about an association that has been known but hasn't been talked about," Palin said as she boarded her plane in Long Beach, Calif. "I think it's fair to talk about where Barack Obama kicked off his political career, in the guy's living room."

Palin's claim that Obama's association with Ayers "hasn't been talked about" is not true. Obama was questioned about Ayers during a prime-time Democratic debate against Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton before April's Pennsylvania primary. McCain also raised the Ayers issue during a television news interview that month. Obama's association with Ayers was regularly brought up by commentators on some cable television news shows, by right-wing radio talk show hosts and on political Web sites.

At issue is Obama's association with Ayers. Both have served on the board of the same Chicago charity and live near each other in Chicago. Ayers also held a meet-the-candidate event at his home for Obama when Obama first ran for office in the mid-1990s, the event cited by Palin.

But while Ayers and Obama are acquainted, the charge that they "pal around" is a stretch of any reading of the public record. And it's simply wrong to suggest that they were associated while Ayers was committing terrorist acts. Obama was 8 years old at the time the Weather Underground claimed credit for numerous bombings and was blamed for a pipe bomb that killed a San Francisco policeman.

IF YOU CAN'T SEE THAT SARAH BARRACUDA PALIN IS NOTHING MORE THAN A TALKING HEAD PARROTING KARL ROVE'S ATTACKS...THEN I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU, I REALLY DO. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE BEFORE YOU BECOME PART OF THE PROBLEM INSTEAD OF PART OF THE SOLUTION!

That was then and this is NOW

I tried to post this comment on MomsRising and it was odd that it was not posted at all. So I am thinking that it was just an oversight so I am trying this again.

I saw the debate.

Did you know that Palin's family members are teachers?
Did you know that she is one of 4 kids and had to work her way to college?
Did you know that her and her husband had no health insurance?
Did you know that she is from a middle class family?
Did you know that her son is in the military?

I am glad that I saw the debate and actually had a chance to hear her.
She is a very strong, intelligent woman with experience. A Mayor and now a Governor. She has a strong work ethic as I am sure most moms do.

After watching the debate, I can say "Yeah, she's a working mom who cares about the United States. She can get the job done."

She is a normal person like you and I. She's real.

I decided to vote for the Republican ticket this time. In the past I voted for Clinton and Nader.

REGISTER TO VOTE. IT IS OUR RIGHT. THANK YOU.

I think there is more important issues

I think Palin is probably a great person in Alaska, but I need more than the "average six pack" Joe for President. I need someone who has more experience with foreign policy other than looking at Putin rearing his ugly head (which by the way is false). I am not saying that a working mom can not be vice President, but not her, not now!

I want a Vice President smarter than I am, she is not that person!
