MomsVote Toolbox (or Mama's Purse, if you prefer)
We know how hard it is to juggle all the things you do as a busy mom, but voting is really important, particularly in this close election. Help us get out the mom vote this critical election year:
- GET ENGAGED IN 2008! Check out Our Advocacy Tool Box. Click here.
- Make Sure You and Your Friends are Registered! You can still register in some states up until and including Election Day! And, Vote Early If You Can.
- Register to vote. Voter registration deadlines are upon us! Make sure you and everyone you know is registered to vote. If you’ve moved, changed your name, haven’t voted in a long time, or if your signature has changed, you may have been removed from the list of registered voters. Take the time to verify your status with your Secretary of State, then tell all your friends and family to do the same.

- Online voter registration form
- Voter Registration Reminder (flier to print and pass out to anyone and everyone)
- Register 8 in ’08 (easy way to remind others to register). If your friends are wondering where to go to vote and what to bring with them (in terms of identification), check out this neat site with resources in both English and Spanish.
- Vote. Mark your calendar now. Or, avoid the lines, and vote early. More states than ever (though sadly not all) are allowing early and/or absentee voting this year. Some states require that you have an excuse to vote absentee. A little-known fact is that volunteering at the polls on Election Day is a valid excuse to vote early/absentee. The benefit to voting early is that it takes a load off your multi-tasking mind and ensures that an unforeseen event, such as a sick child or long work day, won’t prevent you from voting. Find out what your state allows.

Studies show that moms are more likely to vote and get involved when prompted and supported by other moms they know. In other words, personal connections make a difference. You can be part of a mom's support network. Thanks for helping!
